History of the House
House Sathar hails from Karond Kar, gateway to the eastern oceans, and home of many great Corsair houses. The house was formed by a grant from the then Lord of Karond Kar to Lady Corsair Hagana Sathar following a series of great naval victories against Ulthuanni raiders.
Taking an estate in Karond Kar, Hagana had a clan of children by three husbands and an infamous number of lovers. The families of those children form the extended web of familial relationships that is the modern House Sathar.
House Sathar is not much of a player in the larger picture of Druchii politics, though it is part of the Council of Karond thanks to the heroic deeds of its founder. So while a measure of honour attaches to the name Sathar, and several nebulous treaties and relations of blood link it to other houses, House Sathar is no major player in its own right.

Gilyan Sathar
The eldest son, who weighed more than his Cold One when he died. Beloved of wealth, and the counting of profit on fat-beringed fingers. The Gilyan Sathar delight in trade, and soft delicious things, and administration and the squeezing of profit from all things.
Imlin Sathar
Proud first daughter, who became the matriarch of her own closely woven web of sorceresses, and held the post of arch-praetrix for three consecutive terms at the Dark Convent, before dying mysteriously in bed. The Imlin Sathar are, to this day, traditionalists and proud of their links to the Dark Convent, and their skill at politics.
Lothan Sathar
Dour and scarred from a bad birth at sea. His silver half-mask became the feared calling card of corsair raiders across the coasts of the Old World for hundreds of years, until he met his end fighting ratmen assassins in the swamps of madness off the Tilean Coast. To this day, the Lothan Sathar share their patriarch’s love of the sea, and are more travelled than many of their kin.
Jeran Sathar
Rumoured to be one of Malekith’s most trusted assassins; deep within in the inner circle of court while never being openly accepted. Disappeared on a mission of utmost secrecy some four centuries ago. Many of the Jeran Sathar favour the shadows as information gatherers and wielders of poisoned daggers.
Deklin Sathar
Famous for training one of the first Hydra’s of Karond Kar. Even more famous for it killing him shortly afterwards at a public demonstration. Family members while skilled in the arts of beastmastery have never really recovered from this embarrassment. The Deklin Sathar are beastmasters, and their activities provide a measure of the House’s income.
Thelas Sathar
Slaver and provider of staff for House Sathar. Responsible for building its ships and maintaining the grand house. Enjoyed torture and being tortured with his death being a game that went a little to far. The Thelas Sathar retain the responsibility of house slaves, and some of the mantle of infamy of Thelas himself.
Remous Sathar
Leader of religious affairs in house Sathar. Fanatical and rather dull as his only subjects of conversation are Khaine and his primacy over the other Druchii gods. He lives still, though is ancient, and no longer able to walk or in public service. He attends major religious festivals to give his standard speech and has several understudies whose families are involved in all religious matters. The Remous Sathar are ruled with an iron fist by their ancient patriarch, and many find themselves involved in religious matters.
Jago Sathar
Hagana’s youngest child learnt to fight almost before he could walk. He was strong, ruthless and before his untimely death leading an army into the Lustrian jungles he had gathered a reputation fo conquest and heroism on the battlefield unmatched by any Sathar since. The Jago Sathar are great warriors, and or claim to be, and many aspire to the mantle of Jago. Dreadlord Iago Sathar, or recent fame aspired to this mantle, and showed much of the promise of his forefather.
